Scholarships in Sweden

Application opens for Sweden scholarship for international students from Africa and developing countries every year. These include Swedish Institute scholarship, Swedish government scholarship for master or PhD/doctoral degrees.

There are two main sources of Swedish scholarships available which are; Swedish Institute Scholarships and University Scholarships.

The Swedish Institute

The Swedish Institute, a government agency, receives funding each year for scholarships to international students. They have several programs available.

The Institute has approximately 470 million Swedish government funds in four areas: international cooperation, international assistance, education and university research and business. Of all their total funding, approximately SEK 294 million are grants and scholarships.

University Scholarships

These are other Swedish universities that offer a range of scholarships for international students to help cover tuition fees or living costs.
