The Beit Trust Scholarship offers an opportunity to students who aspire to pursue a postgraduate degree overseas. Every year, a small number of exceptional people who are dedicated to helping their home nations flourish are given fully financed scholarships by the Trust.

Tell Me About The Award:
The Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarship is a fully funded award for outstanding students from Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi to pursue postgraduate studies at partner universities in the UK or South Africa. The Trust supports courses that contribute directly to the development of Southern Africa. Scholars must return to their home countries after study to apply their knowledge.

- Citizens & permanent residents of Zambia, Zimbabwe, or Malawi
- Applicants with a First Class/Distinction or Upper Second Class undergraduate degree
- Those applying for a taught Master’s degree at a Beit partner university
- Must commit to returning home after study
- Must not already be enrolled in a postgraduate course
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based on:
- Academic achievement
- Professional work experience (3+ years preferred)
- Leadership qualities
- Voluntary/community engagement
- Relevance of chosen course to national development
- Strong references

How Many Awards?
20 scholarships annually

How Long Will the Award Last?
- 1 year MSc in the UK
- 2 years MSc in South Africa
- 4 years MMed in South Africa (highly competitive)

- Upload required documents (degree transcripts, CV, references, personal statement).
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews in their home country.
- Final results are announced a few months after interviews.
