The Fulbright Hildeman Fellowship was established in 1986 in memory of Swedish diplomat Nils-Gustav Hildeman. It promotes Scandinavian language and area studies in the U.S. while fostering academic and cultural ties between Sweden and the United States. For the 2026–27 academic year, the fellowship will be hosted by North Park University, Chicago, during the spring semester (January–May 2027).
