Which Fields are Eligible?
Eligible courses include full 180-credit taught Master’s programs at the University of Birmingham, such as LLM, MA, MSc, MPH, MEd, MBA, and MPA. Ineligible programs include MA/MSc by Research, MRes, Integrated Masters, PGDip, PGCert, PhDs, EngD, and programs at the Dubai Campus.

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be domiciled in the UK or Ireland and eligible for ‘Home’ fee status.
- Be self-funded or applying for a postgraduate government loan.
- Be undertaking a full 180-credit taught Master’s course (LLM, MA, MSc, MPH, MEd, MBA, or MPA).
- Not be currently enrolled in another postgraduate program.
- Note: Priority is given to graduates from Midlands-based universities to support regional talent retention.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Applicants must apply for an eligible Master’s program and submit a separate Birmingham Masters Scholarship application form with their correct application ID.
- Applications are processed in three rounds, with priority for Midlands graduates.
- Selection is based on academic merit and eligibility, with decisions made after each round.
- Reserve candidates from earlier rounds are automatically considered in subsequent rounds without reapplication.

- Obtain the application ID from the Master’s program application.
- Complete and submit the Birmingham Masters Scholarship application form, ensuring the correct application ID is included.
- Submit both applications by the relevant round deadline: December 8, 2025 (Round 1), April 30, 2026 (Round 2), or July 31, 2026 (Round 3).
- Note: Incorrect or missing application IDs may void the scholarship application.
