The University of Manchester Global Futures Scholarships offer over £4.5 million in funding to support international students starting their studies in September 2026. More than 300 awards are available across undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels, empowering students to address global challenges such as poverty, social justice, climate change, and sustainable urbanism.

Which Fields are Eligible?
All full-time undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Manchester (except Medicine, Dentistry, Architecture, MBA, PGCE, Clinical Medicine, and some professional programs).

Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD Scholarships.
Who can Apply?
- International fee-paying students domiciled in: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Canada, USA, and other eligible countries.
- Must be self-funded (not sponsored).
- Undergraduate: direct entry into first year in 2026.
- Master’s: must hold an unconditional offer by April 23, 2026.
- Not eligible if previously studied in the UK.

Merit-based selection, considering academic excellence and responses in the scholarship application form.

What is the Benefit of the Award?
- Undergraduate: Up to £30,000 (£10,000/year for 3 years).
- Master’s: £18,000.
- PhD: Competitive bursaries (amount varies by School/research area).
- Scholarships awarded as tuition fee discounts.
How Long Will the Award Last?
- Undergraduate: 3 years.
- Master’s: 1 year (full-time).
- PhD: Duration varies by program/school.
How to Apply:
- Apply for admission to an eligible program at the University of Manchester.
- Receive and accept an offer of study.
- Eligible offer-holders will automatically receive a link to the scholarship application form via email.
- Submit the completed form before 23 April 2026.
- Results will be announced by 29 May 2026.
