Who can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a non-EU/EEA country.
  • Have provisional admission to a UT Master’s programme for 2026/2027.
  • Not have graduated from a UT (under)graduate programme.
  • Belong to the top 5–10% of their graduating class.
  • Hold a valid UT student number after securing admission.
  • Meet English language requirements:
    • IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in speaking, OR
    • TOEFL iBT 90, with at least 20 in speaking.
  • Be able to finance remaining study/living costs (UTS is partial funding).
  • Comply with Dutch visa conditions (if applicable).

❌ Not eligible: Dutch students, EU/EEA students, ITC faculty programmes, pre-Master’s, or students eligible for Dutch study loans.

  • Based on academic excellence (top 5–10% of class).
  • Proof of admission to a qualifying Master’s programme.
  • Fulfillment of English proficiency and visa requirements.

  • Renewal possible (same amount) for Year 2 if academic progress requirements are met:
    • Average grade ≥ 7/10 by end of 3rd quartile.
    • At least 50% of ECs earned.
      📌 Additional Opportunity:
  • Kipaji Scholarship (for selected UTS recipients with exceptional ambition).

How Long Will the Award Last?

  • 1 year (renewable for 2nd year upon strong academic performance).

  1. Apply for admission to a UT Master’s programme (must secure admission first).
  2. Receive a student number upon admission.
  3. Submit a separate UTS scholarship application via the UT online portal.
  4. If eligible, also apply for the Kipaji Scholarship (optional).
