Who can Apply for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Initiative?
Any Nigerian citizen, regardless of educational background:
- STC Programme (6 Months): No prior education required. Open to school leavers or individuals new to vocational training.
- VEI Programme (1 Year): Applicants with prior informal education or certificates such as FSLC, NGO/community training, apprenticeship, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid NIN (National Identification Number)
- Valid BVN (Bank Verification Number)
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based on:
- Eligibility verification (NIN, BVN, age, documentation)
- Completion of application steps on the official portal
- Choice of training track and trade
- Availability of slots in selected centers
Successful applicants will be notified and assigned to an accredited training center.

Training will take place across Federal and State Technical Colleges, accredited state institutions, and private vocational centers in all 6 geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

For the STC Programme, you need a valid National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN). For the VEI Programme, you need either Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), a First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), or any form of non-formal education certificate.
