Greentech Africa 2025: The Future of Sustainability is an investment-readiness accelerator program that will support 10-15 startups in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa with innovative solutions for sustainable development.

Which Fields are Eligible?

The following fields are eligible:

  • Agtech and Food Security: Startups using technology to improve agricultural productivity.
  • Biodiversity Protection: Startups leveraging technology for sustainable management of land, water, air, and wildlife.
  • Circular and Regenerative Economy: Startups innovating to minimize waste, pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions through the sustainable use of natural resources.
  • Cleantech: Startups focused on technologies that save resources and reduce reliance on non-renewable resources.
  • Climate Innovation and Adaptation: Startups using technology to adapt and build resilience to climate change impacts.

Who can Apply for the Greentech Africa 2025 Acceleration Program?

To be eligible, startups must meet the following criteria:

  • Be legally incorporated and operating in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, or South Africa.
  • Have a market-based tech solution addressing sustainability challenges.
  • Be compliant with local fiscal and business laws.
  • Have at least one full-time founder based in one of the eligible countries.
  • Have a minimum viable product (MVP) and raised less than USD 1M in equity.
  • Have meaningful customer or business validation, such as revenue, successful pilot studies, number of users, or strategic partnerships.

How are Applicants Selected?

Startups will be selected based on the relevance of their tech solution to sustainability issues in Africa, their market potential, and the validation of their business. Applicants must demonstrate the potential for growth and the ability to scale through mentorship and funding opportunities.
