The 2025 Fellowships Program offers funding opportunities for master’s, PhD, and medical students, as well as apprentices, early career professionals, student teachers, and educators. These fellowships support international research projects, internships, and study programs in various scientific fields. The program is committed to promoting diversity and gender equality in science, encouraging applications from women, individuals from low- and middle-income countries, parents with caregiving responsibilities, and individuals in Germany for whom German is a second language.

The following fields are eligible:

  • Drug Discovery Sciences (Pharmacy, Data Science, and related disciplines)
  • Agricultural Science (including Data Science applications in Crop Science)
  • Medical Sciences (Human & Veterinary Medicine, Medical Engineering, Public Health, Applied Medical Sciences, and Data Science in Medicine)
  • Climate & Health (Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, Public Health, Epidemiology, with a focus on women’s health, vulnerable populations, cardio-renal health, neglected tropical diseases, and respiratory health)
