With over 15 scholarship categories, the program supports students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, service, resilience, advocacy, and a commitment to improving healthcare.
Since its inception, the AMA Foundation has awarded more than $61 million in medical school scholarships.

Note: Students earlier in medical school are not eligible.

- International students enrolled in accredited U.S. medical schools may also be eligible.
Where will the Award be Taken?
At the recipient’s U.S. medical school, where the tuition support is applied.
How Many Awards?
Not a fixed number—awards are granted across more than 15 scholarship categories, based on merit and available funding.

Each awardee receives:

How Long Will the Award Last?
It is a one-time scholarship, applied toward the student’s final-year tuition.
