The Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2026, offered by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with One Young World, is designed for young entrepreneurs from Africa and the Middle East who are leading scalable start-ups or SMEs with social or environmental impact.

This scholarship is not just financial support — it is a global leadership opportunity that provides visibility, networking, and access to international platforms. Selected scholars will attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, joining over 2,000 young leaders from 190+ countries.

- Entrepreneurship in sustainability, social innovation, and environmental impact.
- Scalable start-ups or SMEs addressing local and global challenges.
- Any sector where business solutions create measurable social or environmental change.

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18–35 years by November 2026.
- Be nationals and residents of eligible countries (Africa & Middle East).
- Lead or be part of a scalable start-up or SME with demonstrable social/environmental impact.
- Have a working understanding of English.
- Be available full-time for programme participation between 30 October – 7 November 2026 (including pre- and post-programme activities).

Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Uganda, Ethiopia, Iraq, Tunisia, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, DR Congo, Sudan, Mali, Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Mozambique, Palestine, Burundi.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Based on entrepreneurial track record, scalability of business, and measurable social/environmental impact.
- Diversity and inclusivity are emphasized (applications encouraged from rural and underserved communities).
- Longlisted candidates may be asked to submit additional documentation, including references.
Where will the Scholarship be Taken?
- Cape Town, South Africa (One Young World Summit 2026).
- Pre-programme and post-programme activities organized by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
