GREAT Scholarships 2026, launched by the British Council’s Study UK campaign together with a number of other UK universities, supports students from 18 countries to access world-class UK higher education opportunities. The Study UK campaign is offering 150 scholarships from UK universities to students across 18 countries around the world.
Get Up to $100,000 Student Loan for Your Master in US or Canada.
The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 41 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Who can apply for GREAT Scholarships AT EDINBURGH?
At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be awarded to nationals and residents of China, India, Nigeria, Turkey and Vietnam who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study. The tables below set out the eligibility criteria per programme and the applicable scholarship application which can be located within MyEd (further information can be found under Applying).
How are Applicants Selected?
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.
