The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) provide a fully funded opportunity to pursue a two-year Master’s degree at an ACU member university in a low or middle-income Commonwealth country.
Selected scholars receive:
- Full tuition fees
- Living allowance/stipend for the duration of the award
- Return economy flights to the host country
- One-off arrival allowance
- Research Support Grant (on request, subject to approval)
The scholarship promotes cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and global networking, while empowering students to create positive change in their home communities and host countries.

- Eligible courses vary by participating university; applicants must choose courses listed for QECS funding.

- Eswatini (University of Eswatini)
- Jamaica (University of the West Indies)
- Kenya (Technical University of Kenya)
- Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago (University of the West Indies)
- Uganda (Makerere University)
- Tanzania (State University of Zanzibar, SUZA)
- Pakistan (COMSATTS University, Islamabad)
- Malaysia (Universiti Putra Malaya & University of Malaysia)

Who can Apply?
- Citizens or refugees from Commonwealth countries
- Students in their final year or with a completed undergraduate degree from an accredited university
- Applicants must meet the entry requirements of the chosen programme and university
How are Applicants Selected?
- Based on academic excellence, leadership potential, and commitment to positive community impact
- Only one application per university will be considered; simultaneous submission to the university is required

How to Apply:
- Review the list of eligible courses and entry requirements
- Confirm your chosen course is included in the QECS funding list
- Apply simultaneously to the university and the QECS scholarship
- Create a MyACU account if you don’t have one
- Complete and submit the QECS application by 14 January 2026, 15:00 UTC
