About this JRS Geneva Representative Fellowship 2026 – Jesuit Refugee Service
The JRS Geneva Representative Fellowship aims to strengthen global advocacy for refugees and forcibly displaced people. The fellow will develop strategic policy papers, represent JRS at the UN and with faith-based organizations, and expand advocacy networks. The role involves significant engagement with international agencies, including UNHCR, IOM, OHCHR, and OCHA. Fellows will also organize events in Geneva to raise awareness and facilitate refugee participation in policy discussions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in international migration, development, human rights, refugee law, or related field
- At least five years of senior-level experience in humanitarian, human rights, or international advocacy
- Proven understanding of the UN system and humanitarian-development-peace nexus
- Excellent analytical, research, communication, and writing skills
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities
- Experience in training and capacity building
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is highly desirable
- Legal authorization to work in the European Union
