The University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) and the Mastercard Foundation offer the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. This partnership aims to provide 500 young African scholars with a fully funded opportunity to pursue master’s degree programmes.

The UGHE Mastercard Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded postgraduate opportunity for 500 young African scholars. In partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, the programme supports academically talented students who are committed to transformative change in Africa, particularly those facing social and economic barriers such as young women, refugees, displaced persons, and persons with disabilities.

  • Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE)

How to Apply:

  1. Apply for admission to UGHE in either the MGHD or MHPE program.
    • MGHD applications open November 14, 2025.
    • MHPE applications are currently open.
  2. Complete the online application form via UGHE’s admissions portal.
  3. Submit required documents (academic transcripts, CV, personal statement, references).
  4. Eligible applicants admitted to UGHE will automatically be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
