The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) is pleased to announce our 2026 Scholarship Programme, offering 15 scholarships to individuals between the ages of 19-30 from Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.

The ICMA Scholarship Programme 2026 offers 15 fully funded scholarships to young individuals (ages 19–30) from Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Established in 2021, the programme supports early-career market professionals who face economic barriers to pursuing financial qualifications. It provides access to internationally recognised diplomas delivered online by the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading.

Which Fields are Eligible?
Scholars can choose one of the following ICMA Diplomas:
- Diploma in Debt Capital Markets
- Diploma in Securities & Derivatives
- Diploma in Financial Market Operations
- Diploma in Sustainable Finance
Type:
Professional Diploma Scholarship (finance qualifications).
Who can Apply?
- Citizens of Africa, Asia Pacific, or Latin America.
- Aged 19–30 years at the time of application.
- Must have a good level of education (university degree not mandatory).
- Must demonstrate interest in financial markets.
- Must be proficient in English.
- Candidates may be students, working in finance, or career-switchers.
How are Applicants Selected?
- Applications reviewed by ICMA staff panel.
- Selection based on academic merit, financial need, and demonstrated interest in financial markets.
- Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a virtual interview.
- Final results announced by 6 February 2026.

Applicants from Africa, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
Where will the Award be Taken?
Online (delivered by ICMA Centre, Henley Business School, University of Reading).
How Many Awards?
15 scholarships are available for the 2026 intake.

- Prepare and submit the following documents in one email to scholarships@icmagroup.org:
- Completed application form (specify diploma choice).
- 500-word personal statement (background, why you qualify, career plans).
- Curriculum Vitae (include nationality, country of residence, contact details).
- Academic records/evidence of educational attainment.
- Two reference letters (with referees’ contact details).
- Submit before 16 January 2026.
- Shortlisted candidates may be interviewed virtually.
- Successful recipients announced by 6 February 2026.
