The Light and Bell Foundation offers tuition support scholarships to empower African healthcare students. Each scholarship provides $100 (≈₦150,000) paid directly to the student’s university or institutional account.

Note that recipients may be asked to provide a testimonial (written or short video) on how the scholarship supported them.

Which Fields are Eligible?

  • Medicine (MBBS/MD)
  • Nursing (B.N.Sc, HND, or BSN)
  • Allied health programs (Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Public Health, and more)

Type:

  • Tuition Support / Assistance Scholarship

Who can Apply?

  • Citizens of African countries
  • Students enrolled in government-owned institutions (Federal, State, or Local)
  • Students at any level of undergraduate study in eligible health programs

How are Applicants Selected?

  • Based on eligibility and completeness of application
  • Award is limited to two students per category (G&G, JSI, Vision)

Which Countries Are Eligible?

  • All African countries

Where will the Award be Taken?

  • Scholarships are applied to tuition at government tertiary institutions across Africa

  • Six awards total:
    • 2 for Medicine (G&G)
    • 2 for Nursing (JSI)
    • 2 for Allied Health Programs (Vision)
