The Airtel Africa Fellowship (Airtel Africa Tech Fellowship) is a fully funded undergraduate fellowship established by the Airtel Africa Foundation to support talented young Africans from disadvantaged backgrounds who wish to pursue higher education in STEM fields.

  • Other STEM/tech-related undergraduate fields

Who can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Be newly admitted (100-level) undergraduate students
  • Be enrolled in one of the 7 participating public universities.
  • Have scored at least 230 in JAMB
  • Have 5 O’Level credits in one sitting, including Mathematics and English.
  • Demonstrate clear financial need.
  • Not receiving any other scholarship/fellowship
  • Provide required documents (UTME result, admission letter, passport photo, WAEC result, etc.).

How are Applicants Selected?

Selection is based on:

  • Academic merit (JAMB score, O’Level results)
  • Proof of financial need
  • Completion and correctness of submitted documents
  • Eligibility confirmation by the participating universities
  • Final review by Airtel Africa Foundation

  • University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)

At least 100 fellows per year in Nigeria.
