The NIPES Engineering and Science Scholarship 2026 is a prestigious ₦1,000,000 scholarship initiative created by the Nigerian Institution of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) to support outstanding undergraduate students pursuing engineering and science-related fields in Nigeria.
The scholarship aims to promote inclusivity, encourage innovation, and support young talents by providing financial assistance and fostering professional growth through required NIPES online courses.

Which Fields are Eligible?
All science- and engineering-related disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Engineering courses
- Physical sciences
- Life sciences
- Technology and applied science programmes
- Any STEM-related field offered in accredited Nigerian tertiary institutions

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited Nigerian university or polytechnic.
- Be studying a science- or engineering-related programme
- Be in 100 level or above.
- Complete at least one free NIPES online course.
- Provide a 500–750-word personal statement explaining skills learnt from the course.
- Present valid documents (Student ID, admission letter, transcripts, etc.).
- Demonstrate interest and passion for engineering/science.
- Preferably be a registered NIPES student member (priority advantage)
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based on:
- NIPES membership status
- Quality, depth, and originality of the personal statement
- Demonstrated passion for engineering or science
- Completion and understanding of skills gained from a NIPES free online course
- Alignment with NIPES values and mission

At accredited Nigerian tertiary institutions (universities and polytechnics).
How Many Awards?
5 awards, each worth ₦200,000, totalling ₦1,000,000.

How Long Will the Award Last?
This is a one-time scholarship award valid for the 2025/2026 academic year.

- Enrol in and complete at least one free NIPES online course.
- Write a 500–750 word personal statement explaining:
- Your academic journey & passion
- Skills learnt from the NIPES course
- How those skills support your goals
- Gather required documents (ID, transcripts, admission letter, etc.).
- Submit your application via the official NIPES portal.
