The Federal Government National Health Fellows Program (NHF) is a national initiative launched by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, under the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative (SWAp Coordination Office).
The program aims to equip young Nigerians with the skills, tools, and mentorship necessary to strengthen the nation’s primary healthcare system. Fellows will actively contribute to the government’s mission to upgrade existing health facilities and build over 8,800 new primary healthcare centres (PHCs) across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
Participants will receive stipends, undergo training and mentorship, and gain hands-on field experience in health systems strengthening, governance, and community engagement.
