The UCL Global Master’s Scholarship 2026 supports talented international students from low-income backgrounds who wish to pursue a full-time Master’s degree at University College London (UCL). All full-time postgraduate taught programmes at UCL.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Hold overseas fee status.
- Come from a low-income background (as defined by UCL’s household income criteria).
- Have submitted a complete admission application, including references, for a full-time Master’s degree at UCL for the 2026/27 session.
Note: Distance-learning programs are not eligible. Applicants must attend classes in person in London.
How Are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based on financial need, assessed by the UCL Student Funding Office.
- Shortlisted candidates will be contacted in mid-May 2026 to provide financial evidence.
- Successful applicants will be informed by late June 2026.

How Many Awards?
Up to 85 scholarships will be awarded for the 2026/27 academic year, including:
- 5 scholarships reserved for students from India
- 1 scholarship reserved for a student from Japan under the Musubi Global Master’s Scholarship scheme
What is the Benefit of the Award?
- A £15,000 award for one academic year.
- The scholarship amount will first go toward tuition fees, with any remaining funds disbursed in three equal instalments for living expenses.
- If the Master’s program runs for two years, the award will be split equally across both years.
- May be held alongside other scholarships, depending on the total funding amount.
How Long Will the Award Last?
One year (or split equally across two years for eligible two-year programs).
