The 2026 City of Johannesburg (CoJ) Bursary Program is currently accepting applications. The City of Johannesburg Municipality is dedicated to offering educational and skill-building opportunities to its employees as well as the Johannesburg community at large. The City is providing 200 bursaries for full-time undergraduate courses to South African youngsters who live in Johannesburg permanently.

The City of Johannesburg (CoJ) Bursary Program 2026 is an initiative by the Johannesburg Municipality to support South African youth with access to higher education. The program provides financial assistance to deserving students from Johannesburg pursuing undergraduate degrees in accredited South African tertiary institutions. A total of 200 bursaries will be awarded to qualified candidates based on academic merit and residency in Johannesburg.

- Applicants admitted or applying to accredited South African tertiary institutions

Selection is based on academic performance and proof of permanent residency in Johannesburg. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted after the review process.

What is the Benefit of the Award?
