The African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) invites applications for the 2026 Internship Program, offering young African professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in economic justice, governance, debt management, and public finance.
The 6-month internship allows participants to work across AFRODAD’s key thematic and operational areas while contributing to advocacy and policy reforms that drive Africa’s inclusive and sustainable development.
Interns will engage in real-world research, campaigns, and strategy work focused on promoting debt justice, responsible borrowing, and equitable resource mobilization.

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be young professionals or recent graduates passionate about Africa’s economic policy, governance, and development.
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Administration, HR, Communications, Data Science, Development Economics, Economics, International Development, International Relations, Law, or Statistics).
- Demonstrate strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Have a good understanding of Africa’s financial and developmental context.
- Be proficient in English and/or French.
- Have access to a personal laptop and stable internet connection for remote work (if applicable).
