Which Fields are Eligible?
All academic programs at ANU except:
- Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD)
- Master of Military and Defence Studies

Who can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be classified as an international student under the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000.
- Have received an offer of admission to an eligible ANU undergraduate or postgraduate program.
- Meet all academic and English language requirements for admission.
- Not hold a 995 visa (unless enrolling in an eligible postgraduate program).
- Not be receiving any other external sponsorship covering tuition fees.
- Not have previously received the same award for the same level of study.
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based purely on academic merit.
ANU converts academic results to a common scale to fairly rank applicants. Those with exceptional academic records stand a strong chance of receiving the scholarship.

Applicants are automatically considered for one of nine categories representing different regions, including:

200 scholarships are available across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Recipients will receive:
- A 25% or 50% tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of their program.
- Guaranteed on-campus accommodation for the first year of study.
- Access to mentorship, resources, and global academic networks.
How Long Will the Award Last?
Covers the entire duration of the degree program (undergraduate or postgraduate coursework).
How to Apply:
No separate scholarship application is required.
Once you apply for admission to an eligible ANU program, you will automatically be considered for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
