Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must:
- Be native speakers of one of DW’s broadcast languages with excellent English and good German skills, or vice versa.
- Hold a university degree, college diploma, or vocational qualification.
- Have initial journalistic experience (e.g., in media, blogging, student journalism, or communications).
- Show creativity, digital awareness, and social media fluency.
- Be able to work well under pressure and within a team.
DW also welcomes career changers from diverse professions such as IT, law, medicine, or even aviation.

Candidates undergo a multi-stage selection process, including an online application, creative tasks, a questionnaire, and an application video. Only the most innovative and motivated applicants are shortlisted for interviews.
