Who Can Apply?
Applicants must be:
- New, first-degree undergraduate students (including foundation year entrants).
- Enrolled full-time at the University of Bradford.
- Classified as Home-fee paying students.
Additionally, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- From a low participation area (POLAR 4 Quintile 1 or 2).
- From a low household income or low socioeconomic background.
- Identify as BAME (Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic).
- Have a disability.
- Be a young carer, care leaver, or estranged from parents.
- Hold refugee or asylum seeker status (not already receiving the Sanctuary Scholarship).
- Be an adult learner (aged 25 and above).
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is competitive and based on the strength of each applicant’s demonstration of eligibility, background, and alignment with the University’s Widening Participation priorities.

- The Standard Undergraduate Bursary, and/or
