Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time Master’s or MRes program within one of the following faculties:
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Social Sciences

Who can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be domiciled in Africa, India, or an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Be classified as an overseas student for tuition purposes.
- Hold an offer for a full-time Master’s or MRes program beginning in the 2026/27 academic year at the University of Nottingham, UK.
You are not eligible if you:
- Are a current or former student of the University of Nottingham.
- Have previously completed studies outside your home country (exceptions may apply).
- Are currently studying in the UK.
How are Applicants Selected?
Applicants are assessed on:
- Their vision and development goals for their home country.
- The impact potential of their proposed solution.
- How their chosen course at Nottingham will equip them to achieve these goals.
- Academic merit and motivation to drive sustainable change.
Strong applications clearly link personal goals, academic study, and practical solutions to real-world challenges.

Open to students domiciled in:
🌍 All African nations,
🌏 South Asian countries (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh),
🌴 and selected Commonwealth countries, including:
Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Fiji, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Maldives, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and others.

How Many Awards?
Multiple scholarships are awarded annually across eligible faculties.
What is the Benefit of the Award?
🎓 Tuition fee coverage of 50% or 100% for one academic year.
- Award value applies directly as a tuition fee reduction (not paid to the student).
- Recipients will join a network of global leaders committed to innovation and development.
- The scholarship cannot be combined with other University of Nottingham scholarships.
How Long Will the Award Last?
🕐 One academic year (full-time study only).
If enrolled in a two-year master’s program, the scholarship will cover only the first year’s tuition fees.
How to Apply:
- Apply for admission to an eligible full-time Master’s or MRes program at the University of Nottingham for the 2026/27 session.
- Pay the application fee and wait to receive your offer of admission.
- Once you have your offer, apply for the scholarship through the NottinghamHub portal.
- For MRes applicants, email the scholarships team at scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk for application instructions.
- Complete the online form carefully, following the word count limits for each question.
- Submit your scholarship application by 15 April 2026 (UK time).
