The Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI) Fellowship, founded by Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, CFR, is a leadership development programme designed to equip young Nigerians with the knowledge, skills, and ethics required for effective participation in public service, particularly in the legislature.
The programme provides a unique blend of classroom learning, hands-on field experience, mentorship, and community engagement to nurture the next generation of legislators and public sector leaders.

Applicants must:
- Be citizens of Nigeria.
- Be between 21 and 35 years old.
- Hold at least a Degree or HND from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate strong leadership potential and a record of community or societal service.
- Show fluency in English, creativity, and innovation.
- Exhibit patriotism, integrity, and commitment to national development.
How are Applicants Selected?
Selection is based on:
- The strength of the personal statement and CV.
- A one-minute application video introducing the applicant and explaining why they should be selected.
- Evidence of leadership experience and community impact.

Only Nigerian citizens are eligible to apply.
Where will the Award be Taken?
Nigeria — the programme includes residential training, internships, and virtual engagement sessions within legislative and public institutions.
